Here's something refreshing...

My apologies for a couple of post this last week. I got on my soap box a bit. I get a little passionate about somethings...things that hold people back - I get a little excited and just want to squash 'em.

On another note, I randomly decided to read the Book of Ephesians this morning...I was eating it up like I was at a gourmet smorgasbord! Good stuff.

When I came to the verses 1:16-20 - I thought "WOW! That is refreshing!!' We all need to hear something like this more often so I thought to serve you up a morsel of what I ate this morning:

...(I) do not cease giving thanks for you, while making mention of you in my prayers; that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you a spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of Him. I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened, so that you will know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, and what is the surpassing greatness of His power toward us who believe. These in accordance with the working of the strength of His might which He brought about in Christ, when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places...

I bolded that middle part because I was got excited when I read that. Paul wrote the Book of Ephesians to strengthen the believers who were in Ephesus. I also love the unity that Paul speaks of.

What if we were to go to others and pray for them that "God would give them the spirit of wisdom & of revelation" more? What if we were to pray more for others? The more we bear eachother's burdens, and the more we pray TOGETHER...the closer we will grow and achieve more unity.

That bold part of the above verse is my prayer for you. I pray that you will know the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance. What if we walked with more confidence because we were convinced of 'the surpassing greatness of His power toward us who believe'? Amazing stuff would happen in our lives, right?

It's when we catch the vision of His calling, His glory, His power, and receive wisdom & revelation that we will be more passionate for Christ. I think that's what I want to be known for most - my love, passion, fire for Christ.

I don't want people to remember degrees, financial successes, that I finished P90X ;) ...I want people at my funeral to all say the same thing:
Jennifer was on fire for Christ!

That's my goal: to be more passionate & on fire for Christ! How 'bout you?

At some point...It's ALL mental!

Quick note on this topic...and will really provide more of my thoughts on this at a later date.

But how often do we hear 'It's all mental'?

Today I did a 'Cardio Recovery' workout. Now had it said 'Intense Cardio', my mindset would have been mentally prepared for the workout that it truly is. This 'recovery' was tough, but my mind was not ready for it at all. I was ready to be slow & lazy...this had my hip flexors burning, my shoulders burning...sweat was still drippin'!

So think about this today: How often do we assume the 'truth' of something just by the name? How often do we fulfill the negative words that we are told daily? How often do we believe those that tell us 'we can't'?

It's ALL mental! Start today by telling yourself that you ARE successful, you are a hardworker, you will achieve great things, you will lose the weight you want, you can dream, you can ______________.

Fill in your own blank, believe in yourself,
and set the positive momentum in your mind, in motion!!!!

I NEED SUCCESS STORIES

I am going through this 30 day challenge thing, I'll have to tell you more about it next week, since I will have completed it then..and I will share with you some nuggets that are changing my life.

Today's short video was in regards to 'celebrating your successes'. Wonderfully coincidently, I want to feature YOUR success stories on my blog on Saturdays (Success Story Saturday). But I need to hear from you. I want to hear your story. You all hear my stories...but I want to hear what you are doing. And I want to celebrate you!

This isn't something to be shy and feel that others will judge you for being boastful. This is something I see that is lacking in our lives/society. Bonafide, genuine recognition. I am a natural encourager. Ask many of my friends, it just oozes out of me...I can't really take credit for it either, it's just how I was made by my Maker.

So I want to celebrate you, I want to encourage you that it's working and it's wonderful that you reached a goal or completed what you set out to do. Whether it's small...like you just started implementing a budget, you just gave up sodas this week, you finished a book that will change your life. Or a big deal like you just paid off your car,...or maybe it's huge, like you just received your Master's Degree, or lost 100-200 lbs. similarly to my husband (http://www.thislittlepiggywenttothegym.com/), or you saved your marriage. Share some nitty-gritty stuff.

Whatever it is - TELL ME ABOUT IT, PLEASE! In my eyes, any completion of something, any goal reached is something to be celebrated ALWAYS!

Please email your stories, pics to jennifermorin@beachbodycoach.com. (You can multiple ones too). I want to hear from you. There are incentives, but you'll never know unless you are bold, speak up. Let me celebrate you!!! SERIOUSLY!
