Who are you serving???

Jesus said, "I did not come to be served, but to serve". I think this is the core of what John Maxwell is so often quoted saying "Add value to others". Jesus is our example of adding value by serving others.

Serving others is a sincere act of care and consideration. When you GO OUT OF YOUR WAY for another person, they receive "I love you".

My mom always taught me that 'actions speak louder than words' - translate this as 'if you love me than show me!' Words come easy for many, but service does not. Sacrifice does not.

In this day and age, everyone seems to be looking to get ahead for themselves - the 'come-up' spirit, you could say. People tend to use and abuse anyone who will let them...to advance themselves in this world. Let's set ourselves apart. Let's start the trend that Jesus started years ago, one of humility and service.

When you reach out from your comfort zone and open up your heart, your arms, and home to others, you are reaching out with love...and they will receive that.

Show others your love with acts of service. Do something that will communicate love to them, in THEIR love language. Serving them is a wonderful way. It sets them apart and you both will feel closer because of your affectionate act of help & sacrifice for them.

Who needs to feel loved around you today? Who needs appreciation around you? Who could use a little RESPECT? Give, give, give it out...and watch what you get back in return.

Create and strengthen relationships now for later!!!! God bless you!
